The Label Factor:

CAO tends to do a nice job with their labels, especially considering most of their cigars are on the middle to lower end of the price spectrum. The Brazilia does a lovely job incorporating the flag of Brazil. The green, yellow and blue really stand out when sitting on a shelf or in your humidor.

Macanudo Cru Royale Review!

The Label Factor:

When you know absolutely nothing about a cigar, as was the case with this Macanudo Cru Royale, it is impossible not to use the label to gather an initial impression.  The “Cru”, as this cigar demanded that I refer to him as, comes in with a very understated wrapper that seems to blur the line between high end and low end.

Hoyo de Monterrey Reposado en Cedros Review!

The Label Factor:

I want to be the guy responsible for naming cigars.  That seems like a fun job.  I would name my cigars after dinosaurs.  The Cigar Nubs Velociraptor would be my crown jewel.  Anyway, in this case, the “Reposado en Cedros” is actually Spanish for “wrapped in many badass labels.”  Well, it could be.  This cigar looks like a work of art festooned with a variety of classy looking pizazz.  Can the underlying cigar live up to the flashy labels?  Well, it depends.  Do you like being hit in the face with cedar?
