Liga Privada Unico Dirty Rat

The Label Factor:

I don’t think anybody can argue with the excellence of Liga Privada labels. From the awesome lion on the back, to the simplicity of the text on the front, this label simply gets everything right. Too often cigar labels are gaudy to try and grab consumers’ attention. The Dirty Rat represents the antithesis of that design methodology and it is marvelous.

Gurka Copper Label Sumatra Torpedo

The Label Factor:

I like swords. This label has swords. Awesome. It doesn’t take much to please me.  Well, that is partially a joke. Padron 1964 Anniversary

The Label Factor:

Part of the attraction to smoking cigars is feeling like you are part of an elite club. Padron seems to understand that because each of these cigars comes with it’s own certficate of authenticity by way of the number on the label.  According to the Padron website, this double label system prevents counterfeit cigars.  I don’t really know why a counterfeiter couldn’t just throw a random number on there, but hey, it’s better than no number!

Liga Undercrown Full

The Label Factor:

I’ll come right out and say it: the Undercrown has my favorite label. It’s simple and somehow mysterious. Why a lion? Did you ever notice the crown under the lion?  It’s an under-crown. Yah, so I am rambling about the label. It’s pretty slick. But what about the cigar? Well, the cigar is definitely something special. I am trying to be careful to give this a balanced review. There is a lot of hype surrounding the Undercrown and my mission is to determine whether the hype is justified. Mission: Accomplished. Answer: The hype is justified.
