Partagás Serie D No.4 Review

The Label Factor:

What the The Partagás Serie D No.4 lacks in pizazz, it makes up for with it’s legendary status in the Cuban cigar world. The simple red and gold band is iconic, which is enough for many to easily pick it out of a cigar lineup. I don’t know why all these cigars are in a lineup, but let’s not get bogged down in silly details.

Pairing Test: Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest Beer and Cigar Pairing

Lowenbrau Original, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Paulaner Oktoberfest, Spaten Oktoberfest, Augustinerbrau Edelstoff

The Setup:

When you attend Oktoberfest in Munich, there are loads of beer tents where you can choose to spend your time and money. These tents are operated by six legendary German breweries. We wanted to determine which of these delicious creations paired best with the Quesada Oktoberfest cigar; a stick born to be paired with this style of brew. Unfortunately, we could’t locate every single Oktoberfest beer from these six companies, as Nashville doesn’t have the greatest beer selection. Quesada Oktoberfest Review

The Label Factor:

Being a sucker for all things Germany, the first time I saw the Quesada Oktoberfest label I knew that I had to try it. I’m glad they took the classy road and avoided using girls in dirndls just to get attention. If it weren’t for the trademark Quesada leaf making an appearance, you would be well within your rights to mistake this stick for one made by CAO, with obvious similarities to many of their brands, including the Brazilia and Columbia.

Liga Privada Unico L40 Review

The Label Factor:

The Liga Privada L40 follows the same design pattern as the rest of the LP line. Where the L40 gets a special nod, however, is the excitement it brings to have one of these in your possession. Being one of the more difficult Liga Privada Único sticks to locate, it’s thrilling when one finally lands in your humidor.
