H Upmann Edicion Limitada 2009 Review

The Label Factor:

The Edición Limitada 2009 has a classic Cuban design that is simple, clean, and gorgeous. The label wasn’t the only thing that grabbed my attention, as the wrapper is covered in little spots that look like plume in the making. And before anybody says it; No. It’s not mold. I believe the technical term for what you see here is “flavor crystals.”

Partagás Serie D No.4 Review

The Label Factor:

What the The Partagás Serie D No.4 lacks in pizazz, it makes up for with it’s legendary status in the Cuban cigar world. I think they could have easily put a windmill in the background just to make fans happy. If it were up to me, I would have just made a label out of Wishbone and called it a day. But hey, the label says Cuba so you can’t be too upset.

Label collectors beware: I couldn’t remove the band without it tearing.

Montecristo No.2 Review

The Label Factor:

Other than the whole Castro thing, it must be pretty nice to be a Cuban cigar maker. You don’t have to put a ton of effort into creating a flashy label, as the word “Habana” is more than enough to make cigar connoisseurs everywhere spend their hard earned dough. The Montecristo has one of the simplest labels you will find. But, because of that “Habana”, I want it!
