CAO Brazilia Carnivale Review

The Label Factor:

As far as I can tell, the only difference between the Carnivale and the original Brazilia is the additional of the yellow and green band on the foot, which reads, “Carnivale.” I’ve always been a fan of the CAO flag labels and the addition of a secondary band only enhances the appeal. A fine looking cigar, to be sure.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Review

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Review

The Label Factor:

Despite being rather plain, the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 has an attractive label. The deep red and gold of the label really stands out against the dark brown maduro wrapper, giving a very classy appearance to an already distinguished looking stick. If this guy smoked cigars, it was probably the RP Vintage 1990. And for the record, I have no idea who that is, I just googled “distinguished” and he popped up. I doubt he was smoking cigars post 1990 though… or living.

Alec Bradley Prensado Review
The Label Factor:

This is a gorgeous cigar. It’s not just the label either — the Prensado just looks and feels fantastic. The wrapper reminds me of a dark wood. Mahogany.  It’s a deep brown with some black veins. The golden embossed label really stands out in contrast to the dark wrapper. Really, the Prensado looks like a work of art. Even my fiance, who knows nothing about cigars, saw me lighting this up and said “Oooh, that’s a pretty cigar.” Obviously this girl’s taste in cigar labels is as good as her taste in men.

Ramon Bueso Genesis The Project Review

The Label Factor:

Drew Estate continues with the good labels here.  Wait…what?  My producer is telling me this isn’t a Drew Estate cigar.  Okay.  This is the Genesis The Project by Ramon Bueso.  Yes, I see that on the label.  Okay, but what about the eerily similar style?  I mean, it has Genesis in cursive against a lightly checkered white background.   I guess adding that black bar at the bottom is the biggest distinguishing factor.  And, now that I inspect more closely, the paper it’s printed on is of a lower quality.  Still, though, I love the style of Liga labels so it would be hypocritical of me not to like this as well.
