CAO Brazilia Carnivale Review

The Label Factor:

As far as I can tell, the only difference between the Carnivale and the original Brazilia is the additional of the yellow and green band on the foot, which reads, “Carnivale.” I’ve always been a fan of the CAO flag labels and the addition of a secondary band only enhances the appeal. A fine looking cigar, to be sure.

Sanch Panza Non Plus Review

The Label Factor:

This label is a lesson in missed opportunities. How do you not make a reference to Don Quixote with a cigar named Sancho Panza? I think they could have easily put a windmill in the background just to make fans happy. If it were up to me, I would have just made a label out of Wishbone and called it a day. But hey, the label says Cuba so you can’t be too upset.

Label collectors beware: I couldn’t remove the band without it tearing.

Cuenca Y Blanco CyB Review

The Label Factor:

I know enough Spanish to be dangerous. Typically, when attempting to speak it, I either freeze up completely or inadvertently insult someone’s mother. Regardless, when I first saw this label, I translated it to “Basin and White,” which I think is a pretty great name. After doing a bit of research, I came to realize that the Cuenca Y Blanco refers to the names of Alejandro Martínez Cuenca and Jose Blanco, the owner and VP of Joya De Nicaragua, respectively. The stick has since been rebranded to simply “CyB”, and the labels have been updated to the same.

I do like the style of the label, as it reminds me of a championship belt you would see a Luchador wear in a wrestling match. Combined with a nice color scheme, you have a very attractive label that gets the CigarNubs seal of approval, whatever that is worth.

Nat Sherman Timeless Collection No. 2 Review

The Label Factor:

Hey, this label looks like a watch! It took me an embarrassingly long time to connect that dot with the name of the cigar. Aside from making me feel dumb, the retro looking label on this cigar really breaks the mold in a way that’s unique without being gimmicky.
